In November 1990 following allegations of sexual abuse by one of the children of a family referred to as the W family, the seven siblings of that family were removed from Orkney to the mainland under Place of Safety Orders. This report sets out the facts of what happened following the children's removal, provides a commentary on the facts and sets out certain matters of recommendations.
