"The MacLean Collection contains music collected by the late Joseph W. MacLean of Washabuck, Nova Scotia. Joe MacLean was an accomplished fiddler who gathered one of the most significant collections of traditional "Scottish" fiddle music in the world. The collection was donated in its entirety, by Joe's son Vince, to the Highland Village Museum so that it could be made accessible to musicians and researchers. Housed in the archives at the Highland Village Museum, the MacLean Collection is part of the collection of the Nova Scotia Museum".
